Job Description
Bunbury Drive In Chemist is seeking a Full Time Pharmacist (ANZSCO 251513) who is passionate about patient care, can deliver great health outcomes and is looking to grow and develop their career. We are an independent pharmacy, located in central location alongside a busy medical centre. Having been a longstanding pharmacy servicing the community for decades, this position will appeal to those looking for an opportunity to immerse themselves in the local community, whilst enjoying the coastal lifestyle. You will be joining a dedicated and experienced team that prides itself on offering professional advice and services to the loyal customer base. In this role, you will be required to:
* Receive prescriptions, checking patients' medicine histories, and ensuring optimal dosage and methods of administration and drug compatibility before dispensing
* Actively counsel and advise customers on prescribed and over-the-counter medications
* Prepare or supervise the preparation and labelling of liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets and other medications to fill prescriptions
* Advise prescribers on drug incompatibility and contra-indications
* Review and monitor the medicine therapy of individual patients, assessing the effectiveness of the total medicine therapy
* Maintain prescription files and recording issues of narcotics, poisons and habit-forming drugs
* Store and preserve vaccines, serums and other drugs subject to deterioration
* Supply non-prescription medicines, and diagnostic and therapeutic aids
* Supervise and coordinate the work of Pharmacy Technicians, pharmacy interns and Pharmacy Sales Assistants when required
* Assist in maintaining general operations, including upholding all QCPP, and relevant policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment

To be considered for this role you must have a current General Registration as a Pharmacist (without conditions or undertakings) with AHPRA.
