In this role you will lead and deliver multiple business improvement initiatives from start to finish. You will identify opportunities, analyse challenges and implement smart, practical solutions that create lasting value.
You will work autonomously while building trusted relationships across diverse teams. Your role will ensure that improvements are not only effective but also sustainable and contribute to Council's long-term financial and organisational health.
You will support our strategic priorities through:
* Delivering business improvement projects that enhance operational performance and community outcomes
* Leading large-scale end to end process redesign initiatives that simplify workflows, remove barriers and improve the experience of staff and our community
* Supporting service reviews that ensure our services meet the current and future needs of our community
* Applying best practice methodologies, managing risks and tracking benefits to support informed and financially sustainable decision making
* Coaching and supporting senior leaders and teams to build confidence and capability in business improvement, with a strong focus on strategic stakeholder engagement and influencing organisational outcomes

You are a critical thinker with a personable approach and the ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels. You bring people along on the journey of change and thrive in complex environments. You are confident managing competing priorities with a calm, solutions-focused mindset.
* A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project management, business analysis or a related field
* A proven track record of delivering business improvement projects with measurable outcomes
* High-level project management skills including planning, risk management and change leadership
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions
* A solid understanding of business improvement methodologies and governance frameworks
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
* Experience leading end to end process redesign, using tools such as process mapping and root cause analysis to identify opportunities that improve efficiency and community outcomes
* Confidence facilitating workshops and co-design sessions to bring people together to understand problems and shape future-state processes
* The ability to take a system-level view and balance efficiency, service quality and organisational risk when assessing improvement opportunities
* A self-driven attitude and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented culture

* Competitive salary from $114,363 to $132,908 per year
* Permanent Full-time: 35 hours per week
* Flexible working hours and hybrid work model, including the possibility of a 4-day week
