We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead and grow a high-performing business unit within the insurance building sector. This senior leadership opportunity is responsible for business growth, operational performance, financial outcomes, and team development. You will play a critical role in driving strategic direction, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Leading, inspiring and developing a multi-disciplinary team of Estimators, Supervisors and Administrators
* Driving revenue growth, profitability and operational efficiency
* Overseeing financial performance including P&L, cash flow and forecasting
* Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and strong margin control
* Reviewing WIP, claims progress and resource allocation
* Building and maintaining strong client and industry relationships
* Identifying and implementing process improvements and best-practice systems
* Leading business development initiatives and expanding work streams
* Maintaining high standards across safety, compliance and quality
Qualifications
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing operational teams
* Proven background within the insurance building industry (essential)
* Sound commercial acumen and financial management experience
* Ability to drive business growth and diversify revenue streams
* High energy, resilience and a results-oriented mindset
* Exceptional stakeholder and relationship-building skills
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
* Solid understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
* Proficiency across Microsoft Office systems
* Current driver's licence
