Overview
Physical Education Teacher and Sport Coordinator (Preparatory School) at Guildford Grammar School. This full-time permanent role blends classroom teaching with sport leadership, leading the Physical Education and Sport Program for Years 3 to 6 and delivering curriculum-aligned lessons to inspire active, healthy lifestyles.
There is a 0.2 FTE allocation for Sport Coordinator duties, offering a balance of teaching and leadership within the Preparatory School team.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum.
Plan teaching and learning programs around children's development: linguistic, social, emotional, aesthetic, spiritual, creative, physical and kinaesthetic intelligence.
Inspire students to develop physical literacy, teamwork, and a lifelong love of sport.
Coordinate and lead the Prep Sport program, including Inter-Quarter and Inter-School carnivals.
Represent the School at JPSSA and IPSHA Sport meetings.
Collaborate with colleagues to support student wellbeing and academic success.
Engage in co-curricular activities and contribute to the broader life of the School.
About You
A teaching qualification with experience teaching Physical Education in a primary school setting.
TRBWA registration and a current Working with Children Check.
A passion for student-centred learning and inclusive practices.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A collaborative mindset and commitment to professional growth.
A values-driven approach aligned with the Anglican ethos of the School.
Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
