Geological Expert Wanted
We are seeking a skilled Mine Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our geological department, you will be responsible for the exploration and production of gold.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Geology Superintendent to ensure the quality and integrity of geological data.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collection and processing of underground grade control data is crucial in maintaining accurate records.
* Lithological and structural logging of diamond drill core requires attention to detail and analytical skills.
* The management of our database using relevant QA/QC protocols demands strong organizational skills.
* Geological interpretation, interrogation of grade control models and reporting involve strategic thinking and effective communication.
* Working within a small team to provide innovative geological insights requires collaboration and adaptability.
* Supporting engineering and operations teams by supplying high-quality, timely geological data involves excellent problem-solving skills.
About You:
* A Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or a related field is essential.
* Industry experience in Mine Geology, preferably 2-3 years, with at least 1 year in an underground environment is required.
* Intermediate skills with mining software such as Surpac or similar are necessary.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* A safety-focused approach and proactive attitude towards underground geology are expected.
