A local government is seeking a Program Coordinator to join the team. As the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering and evaluating programs, services, and actions that facilitate the economic development of our local economic sectors, strengthen global connections, and enhance the reputation and economic opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate local economic development programs within key industry sectors.
Develop, deliver and evaluate programs, services and actions
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and collaborations with key internal and external stakeholders
Manage grants and procurement contracts where appropriate
Work collaboratively with other units and divisions to achieve common goals across sustainability and circular economy, diversity and inclusion, RAP (Reconciliation Action Plan) and others.
Undertake other duties as required and directed from time to time.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Demonstrated experience in economics, business, international relations, communications or a related discipline, with higher degree qualifications desirable.
Understanding of the role of local government as it relates to international economic development
Significant experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of economic strategies and programs, and data analytics skills.
Significant experience working with and fostering relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in managing consultant service providers and staff.
Demonstrated ability to manage large, wide-ranging and complex workloads concurrently within established budgets and within strict timeframes.
