Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a friendly, community-focused practice with a loyal client base and strong nursing support. This role will suit someone who enjoys building long-term relationships with families, providing personalised care, and working up cases to a high clinical standard in a well-equipped general practice setting.
You'll handle a varied caseload across consultations, surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine, while contributing ideas to continuously improve how the team works. For the right veterinarian with a genuine interest in business, there is scope to explore future ownership or partnership opportunities as part of a long-term succession plan.
In This Position, Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Managing day-to-day consultations, diagnostics, and treatment plans for dogs and cats
* Performing general surgery and dentistry with a focus on patient safety and pain management
* Offering clear, empathetic communication to help clients make informed decisions
* Working collaboratively with nurses and support staff to keep the day running smoothly
* Contributing to the ongoing development of clinic protocols and standards of care
Qualifications Needed
* Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent veterinary degree) with eligibility for registration in New South Wales
* Solid post-graduate experience in small animal general practice, including surgery and dentistry
* Comfort working independently with support available, as well as within a team setting
* Good communication and relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues
* A genuine interest in long-term commitment, with openness to future ownership or partnership
