**ABOUT THE COMPANY**
Leading Australian company specialising in the design and manufacturing of large scale technical, and steel fabricated equipment are looking to appoint a Purchasing Officer to join their planning team.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Senior Planner, this pivotal and customer focused role coordinates the manufacturing process from order intake to delivery to the customer. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Coordinate production planning activities for local manufacturing to support the production operations
- Coordinate the supply of in-house designed parts made from engineering and fitment
- Provides effective flow of manufactured parts to the Production activities while minimising of inventory
- Create workable Bills of Materials from engineering drawings
- Buying and expediting of stock for local supply, where required
- Administering the Work Order process, including issuing job packs, maintaining communication on parts availability
**SKILLS & EXPEIRENCE**
You will bring some experience within purchasing from a product-based environment with any knowledge of MRP and inventory control systems well regarded. While not essential, a trade or automotive background would be highly regarded.
