In this role, you'll:
Play a hands-on role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of day-to-day road maintenance and minor construction projects. You'll lead a day labour workforce and oversee routine and outsourced works including pothole repairs, vegetation control, patching, pavement upgrades, concreting, stormwater drainage, and asphalting.
You'll bring your technical expertise in civil and structural engineering—especially in road maintenance, to ensure high-quality outcomes across time, cost, and scope. This role demands a proactive, collaborative approach and a readiness to respond to operational needs, including on-call availability.
This position can be based out of Orange, Lithgow or Bathurst, NSW

About you
You're a practical, solutions-focused engineer with a strong foundation in civil infrastructure and a passion for keeping regional roads safe and reliable. You thrive in a small team environment and are ready to roll up your sleeves when needed.
Strong understanding of materials, equipment, and techniques used in infrastructure environments
Familiarity with tendering and contract management processes
A four-year engineering degree (Civil or related) from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Willingness to be available on-call and travel outside the district for training or operational needs as needed.
