Clinical Therapist Role
As a clinical psychologist within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team, you will contribute to providing high-quality therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents. Your expertise will be valued as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists, social workers, nurses, occupational therapists, and dietitians.
The CAMHS model focuses on family-based therapeutic approaches with opportunities for individual therapy when clinically necessary. Our service prioritizes collaborative working, autonomous practice, effective teamwork, and a supportive environment that empowers staff to share their expertise.
We are seeking applicants who possess demonstrated skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of clinical outcomes for children and adolescents and their families. Experience in co-clinician work or family therapy is beneficial but not required, as training is provided.
To succeed in this role, you must have completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of at least two years full-time duration or recognised equivalent. Provisional Psychologists enrolled in an APAC-accredited Master of Clinical Psychology Course can also apply as Clinical Psychologists in Training.
In this dynamic environment, you will have access to regular clinical supervision, continuous training programs, and daily multidisciplinary team reviews. The NSW CORE values guide our sustainability and culture, ensuring a supportive structure that encourages collaboration and growth.
