We are currently recruiting for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Adelaide based team. The role involves a variety of projects and services-based work, focused on automation / control systems and solutions, primarily in the Water, Manufacturing, Rail and Infrastructure industries.
We are looking for someone with passion and drive who will be responsible for:
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and participate in designing, developing, commissioning, and supporting automation and electrical systems in both project and services environments.
* Lead, manage, and participate in continuous improvement and maintenance of client process and automation systems.
* Leading engineering teams, planning and managing project execution.
* Drive the development of best practice methodologies, software, systems and procedures.
* Meeting engineering & project cost targets as set by Management
* Manage, mentor, and support other engineers in the team
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in electrical, Control Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
* 8+ years of relevant experience in relevant engineering role with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or senior engineering capacity.
* Prior experience in Tunnel Infrastructure Systems
* Strong technology, programming/coding, and computer skills
* Excellent documentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Mature methodologies in PLC coding, SCADA design, and process improvement
* Proficiency in automation platforms such as Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, Schneider Unity, and Aveva System Platform
* A proven track record of successful project delivery in the automation industry
* Hands-on experience in executing automation projects across all lifecycle stages—from requirements analysis to FAT and SAT
* Strong knowledge of industrial protocols including Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and IEC 61850
* The ability to lead the engineering delivery of large-scale PMCS or similar packages
* Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly for project requirements
