Cook Position at Albert Hotel Monto
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up workstations, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparation and Service of Food
o Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
o Prepare full range of foods including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
* Kitchen Operations
o Ensure all our policies and procedures, health and hygiene requirements are adhered to.
o Maintain excellent presentation standards.
o Ordering and managing stocks.
* Teamwork and Communication
o Establish and maintain effective employee working relationships.
o Excellent communication and organizational skills.
o Liaise and work with the head Chef and is expected to assist him to ensure safe and efficient production of food, while maintaining all statutory requirements.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
1. Experience and Education
* At least 3 years of experience as a Cook.
* Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent is a minimum requirement.
2. Soft Skills
* Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
* Willing to work under pressure.
* Good knowledge of policies and procedures in workplace.
* Experience in similar role.
