Fitzroy is a new force in the Queensland metallurgical coal mining industry with a portfolio of existing operations and a pipeline of growth projects.
This position provides technical support relating to mine design, reporting and scheduling and engineering projects including underground mining excavation design, grade plans and LOM design.
* Key Responsibilities include ensuring all work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements, completing tasks on time, preparing mine designs, liaising with other team members, assisting with budgets and performing additional duties as directed.
* Required skills and qualifications include a minimum 5 years' experience working in an underground coal mining environment, tertiary Mining Engineering qualifications, experience with mine planning software or willingness to participate in mine planning software training and strong communication skills.
