About the Role
Join the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS) as we expand across Regional and Rural Victoria, establishing new sites. Forensicare is a specialist agency working with individuals with serious mental illness who have offended or are at risk of offending.
The Senior Psychologist provides high-level clinical and forensic psychological expertise within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include assessments, treatment, consultancy, supervision, and case management.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a new service reflecting Forensicare's expanding reach.
Locations include:
* Hume: Shepparton
* Gippsland: Traralgon
* Grampians: Ballarat
* South East Metro: Dandenong
* North East Metro: Ringwood
* West Metro: Footscray
Relocation and travel reimbursement are available for eligible staff.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting psychological, psychometric, and risk assessments, including court reports.
* Providing expert advice on psychological services and complex client management.
* Delivering individual or group forensic interventions.
* Contributing to risk management plans.
* Supervising and mentoring students and staff.
* Participating in case management as part of the team.
About You
* Masters or Doctoral in Clinical Psychology or Doctoral in Forensic Psychology.
* AHPRA Registration.
* Minimum five years' experience as a fully registered psychologist.
* Endorsement or eligibility for endorsement in clinical and/or forensic psychology.
* Commitment to mental health consumer recovery.
* Extensive knowledge of psychological approaches for forensic clients.
* Understanding of relevant legislation and systems.
* Experience in mental health, correctional services, or forensic settings.
* Skills in forensic assessments and interventions.
