We’re now seeking two Therapy Assistants to join our Community Services team at Marion, on a Full-Time basis and a Part-Time (0.8) basis. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide direct care to clients as directed by our Therapists. Responsibilities: Assist clients as directed by the Therapists, including; Accompanying on walks, Supervising and assisting with prepared meals, Preparing clients for consultation with Therapists, One-to-one interaction which will give stimulation – physical, mental, social Perform regular stock control or checks of supplies Maintain confidentiality and privacy of client according to Resthaven guidelines Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with clients and their families Promote Resthaven’s services in the community as determined in conjunction with the Therapists Give direct feedback to Therapists of relevant information relating to clients Essential Criteria: Understanding of the ageing process and caring for older clients Demonstrated ability to relate to a diverse group of people including clients, other staff, and family members Empathy and understanding of issues for older people, their families, and carers Experience working in social groups or exercise groups Time management skills Computer literacy including Microsoft Word and Excel An SA Driver's License Cert III in Allied Health Assistance (desirable) Why Resthaven?
