About the role
NHK Express is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Shepparton, VIC on a contract basis. As our Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the region, playing a crucial role in supporting our road transport operations.
What you'll be doing
1. Safely operating large commercial vehicles to transport goods and materials to various locations
2. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
3. Adhering to all relevant road rules, regulations and safety protocols
4. Maintaining accurate delivery records and logs
5. Securing and protecting cargo during transit
6. Providing excellent customer service and liaising with clients as required
What we're looking for
1. A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence
2. Previous experience as a commercial vehicle driver, preferably in the road transport industry
3. Strong safety focus and a commitment to safe driving practices
4. Excellent navigation and route planning skills
5. Good communication and customer service skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
