General Manager - Baseball (Part Time)
Baseball Northern Territory
Location: Darwin or Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia
Employment: Part Time, 0.6 FTE with flexible hours.
Salary: $85,000 pro rata + super (pro rata).
Contract: Fixed 2 year contract with intent to extend.
What You Will Do
* Grow participation and membership across the Northern Territory including players, coaches, umpires and other volunteers
* Foster the financial growth of the organisation by maximising sponsorship, grant and commercial opportunities to diversify revenue and ensure financial stability
* Oversee day-to-day business operations including Finance, Administration and IT and act as secretariat to the board
* Manage overall budget, legal and statutory compliance requirements including risk management
* Supervise, support and manage staff and volunteers including recruitment
* Work with the Board and Associations to develop strategies, policies and practices and deliver against short and long-term outcomes as determined in approved plans
* Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, government agencies, other sporting organisations and service providers to promote and benefit baseball in the Northern Territory
What You Will Need To Succeed
The general manager position will mostly operate within normal business hours, with some after-hours and weekend commitments due to the nature of the work.
* Able to pass a national police check and Working With Children check (required)
* Valid NT driver's licence (required)
* Strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills
* Experience in sports administration or management (desired)
* Ability to express ideas clearly, effectively and with meaning to a variety of audiences
Desirable Criteria
* Sports Management / Business Degree
