This diesel fitter role is with an established underground mine in QLD with a maintenance team that knows what it's doing. 8:6 roster across days and nights - lifestyle friendly with full travel paid in and out Charter FIFO from Brisbane or Sunshine Coast, or DIDO locally to site Full camp on site with accommodation, meals and amenities all provided Work with a close-knit crew with experienced tradespeople who take pride in their work Mix of workshop and breakdown fitting across a fleet of underground and surface equipment The Role Be part of a small crew of fitters who are split between workshop duties and a rotating week of underground breakdowns. Day-to-day this includes: Servicing, component change outs and scheduled and preventative maintenance in the workshop Fault finding, diagnostics and breakdown response across a wide range of machinery One week in every six as the dedicated underground breakdown fitter - rotating across the crew Working on Sandvik boggers, drills, trucks and plenty more Maintaining accurate records and completing electronic timesheets each swing Roster & FIFO A well-set-up camp close to both the mine and the airstrip - everything you need is on site. Single rooms with en-suites which are comfortable and well-maintained Gym, wet mess, BBQ area and fatigues rooms on site Themed meal nights and good food from the camp kitchen Wi-Fi available on site Charter flights from Brisbane or Sunshine Coast direct to site - or DIDO from local towns Thursday to Thursday roster with full travel in and out paid The Company This gig is with an owner-operator mine in QLD with a tight operation run by people who know what they're doing - the maintenance team has long-standing site knowledge and a culture of doing things properly.
