Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a Festivals & Events Officer to join their team and play a key role in delivering vibrant community events where you would potentially be responsible with planning, coordinating, promoting and evaluating local festivals and public programs within the Dandenong region.Duties & Responsibilities:Researching and investigating appropriate activities and projects to maximise the planning and delivery of Festivals & EventsAssisting in the forward planning and development of client's Festivals and Events and other public engagement programs, as requiredProviding support and specialised advice to Community, Corporate, Government agencies and internal departments in the planning and delivery of their festivals and eventsBuilding and maintaining effective relationships with relevant key stakeholders to ensure adaptable and responsive service to the communityEnsuring widespread and effective marketing of festivals and events by working collaboratively with Media and Communications and external promotional agenciesRequirements:Valid National Police CheckWorking With Children CheckCurrent Drivers LicenceExcellent written and interpersonal communications skillsExperience in managing volunteers and contract workersExperience in planning and delivering large public outdoor eventsExperience working with culturally diverse community and community event organisersAt Quest Personnel, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities for all and embracing diversity in the workplace.
