HenderCare is a national registered NDIS and Home Care Package provider as well as a supplier of acute healthcare services. It creates bespoke solutions to support people with a disability, older Australians and people in the acute healthcare sector. Since the business was established in 2004, HenderCare has experienced year on year growth. Operating alongside HenderCare, HenderCare Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children. Collectively, HenderCare and HenderCare Foundation employ over 250 internal employees nationally and have approximately 1,500 field staff delivering important services to clients across Australia.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and leading a payroll team of around 17 staff, the Payroll Manager is accountable for the efficient operation of the national payroll function, including timely and accurate payment of employees' salaries/wages in compliance with relevant awards, related statutory returns and the effective management of people related information. Other key responsibilities include:
- ensuring mapping and maintenance of best practice processes in the payroll and related areas;
- playing a key role in payroll and finance related software upgrades, implementations, and related works;
- ensuring prompt response times to HenderCare field staff and corporate employees regarding payroll queries;
- processing of worker compensation payments and the reimbursement of same (where appropriate) from HenderCare's WorkCover agent;
- preparing and reconciling financial reports on superannuation and payroll;
- conducting weekly checks and reconciliations to ensure award compliance.
Applications are encouraged from professionals with demonstrated success leading the end-to-end payroll processing of a large, award diverse workforce from the aged care, community services or disability services sector. A comprehensive understanding of the SCHADS Award is essential.
