Job Title: Permits Coordinator

The Permits Coordinator is part of the Operations team and reports to the Compliance Manager. The key focus of this role is to order, administrate and prepare pre-construction documentation for our clients. More specifically, you will:
1. Coordinate end-to-end applications for building and covenant approvals, ensuring smooth submission and compliance process
2. Liaise with councils, certifies and external professionals to secure necessary approvals and keep projects moving on time
3. Work closely with Project, Contract and Drafting teams to capture citations and reflect approval changes in plans
4. Prepare and submit documentation to satisfy inspections, occupation certificates, and council requirements
5. Provide management with accurate progress updates and forecasts using systems such as Businesscraft and Laserfiche
6. Carry out key administrative functions including reporting, purchase orders and processing project documentation

1. Previous experience as a Permit Coordinator
2. Admin experience, preferably in the building and construction industry
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. The ability to work under pressure successfully managing multiple clients and prioritising effectively
5. Sound knowledge in computer and Microsoft office skills
6. Ideally some knowledge of the residential construction industry (building your own home or property management), building materials and supply and co-ordinating trades
