We are a well-established firm in Margaret River searching for an assistant accountant or accountant to join our team. This position would be suitable for an applicant with accounting and/or taxation experience who wishes to expand their skill set or someone seeking to move into the accounting field. The role will include, but is not limited to, the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and activity statements. Training and support will be offered for this position.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail and able to complete work accurately
* Passion for building strong client relationships
* Strength at organising and managing time critical tasks
* Strong computer skills with high proficiency in MS office suite
* Well organised with the ability to demonstrate versatility
* Experience working with accounting and bookkeeping software is preferred but not essential.
Your responsibilities:
* Preparation of financial statements
* Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and SMSFs.
* Preparation of business activity statements and instalment activity statements.
* Liaise with clients and conduct client interviews including tax advice and planning.
