Your next career opportunity
As a Research Finance Partner, you'll manage a diverse portfolio of complex funding programs and awards, becoming the primary contact for Chief Investigators. You'll play a crucial role in supporting financial resource management and navigating complex funding rules, all while driving process improvements and enhancing customer service. This position offers you the chance to collaborate with leading researchers, optimise financial strategies, and contribute to the success of innovative academic projects.
Your responsibilities will include
* Maintain Key Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to researchers and senior stakeholders, providing expert budgeting and forecasting support.
* Deliver Financial Support: Partner with researchers to maximise funding opportunities through strategic advice on all funding sources.
* Supervise and Mentor Staff: Train, mentor, and potentially supervise up to three junior staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Drive Process Improvements: Map, review, and reengineer processes to enhance finance‐related support delivery across faculties.

You will bring a strong background in finance, exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to interpret complex financial data, enabling researchers to optimise their funding and achieve academic excellence.
You may also
* Possess a relevant tertiary degree in a business‐related discipline, with CA, CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
* Have outstanding relationship management skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
* Demonstrate excellent financial modelling skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
* Exhibit flexibility and adaptability in evolving environments, with strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Be committed to proactive, quality client service and continuous improvement.
