MINE PRODUCTION ENGINEER
Fosterville Gold Mine invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of Mine Production Engineer. The primary purpose of this position is to provide production/planning support to allow the safe, efficient and cost-effective operation of the Mining department.
Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer, your duties will include:
* Identification and effective communication of hazards and controls within the production process.
* Engagement with safety programs and initiatives.
* Drill and blast, including paste fill design in line with operational requirements.
* Effective recording and communication of stope/production documentation.
* Monitoring and tracking production performance against the weekly plan
* Effectively engaging with the Production Shift supervisors and Production Foreperson.
* Timely measuring, recording and reporting of longhole rise and deviation performance.
* Effective measurement and reporting of stope performance and reconciliation of actual to plan.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
* Tertiary degree in mining engineering or relevant professional experience.
* Experience in underground drill and blast (desired).
* A strong commitment to safe work practices.
* Possess strong planning and organisational skills.
* Have effective communication skills and be able to work well within a team environment
The roster for this residential position will be 8/6, working 12 hour shifts.
