The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a proactive Planning & Inventory Lead to join our team, based at our Wattleup office location.
In this newly created role, you will be accountable for the management of our planning and inventory function. Driving the establishment and implementation of an integrated business planning process, including enhancing planning and financial performance, and making a significant impact towards achievement of strategic goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager – Australia, your main responsibilities will include:
* Develop, implement and maintain and integrated business planning process across the product lifecycle.
* Collaborate with the sales function to build a demand plan utilizing sales contracts and selling patterns.
* Conduct inventory planning activities across demand and supply, including reviewing, analyzing, optimizing, modifying, and processing system-generated recommended orders.
* Analyze and review material catalogue requests for new additions or increases in inventory levels before establishing re-order settings.
* Own Inventory Management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and maintain optimal stocking levels designed to meet targets.
* Collaborate closely with Procurement & Operations teams to ensure accurate master data including supplier lead times, costs are maintained.
* Facilitate stock transfers between warehouses to maintain adequate inventory levels and collaborate with Australian Operations replenishment demands.
* Perform inventory reviews of inactive inventory items, identifying potentially obsolete or surplus materials and ensuring disposal in accordance with established policies.
* Develop and execute strategic plans for our inventory, both in the short and long term. Your strategies will focus on waste reduction and financial performance improvement.

* A proven track record in sales and operations and integrated business planning is essential.
* A proven track record of successful leadership in inventory management is essential.
* Proven managerial experience, desirable.
* Strong analytical abilities to effectively analyze data and make informed decisions, reducing costs, and driving operational improvements.
* Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to influence and negotiate effectively.
* Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and familiarity with Pronto or similar ERP solutions.
* Formal qualifications in supply chain management, desirable.
