Overview

City of Newcastle (CN) currently has casual opportunities for Chefs to join our Civic Services team to work a range of different functions and event styles across some iconic venues including City Hall, Civic Theatre and Fort Scratchley.

- Work at some Newcastle’s iconic venues
- Casual hourly rate of $46.05
- No split shifts

As one of our Chefs, you'll work collaboratively within a team and also supervise others to provide our customers with a first-class food and beverage experience, supporting live performance, functions and events. Through your work, you’ll have a behind the scenes pass to Newcastle's evolution as you shape our future as a liveable, inclusive city.

Under direction from the Executive Chef; you'll design, cost, source ingredients, arrange purchase, supervise preparation, cooking and service of a range of menus for Civic Café, functions and events as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements

Remuneration: Casual hourly rate of $46.05 (includes 25% casual loading) + 12% Superannuation
