About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead kitchen operations at our Clayton residence, delivering high-quality, culturally appropriate meals that enhance the dining experience for our residents.
In this role, you will oversee the Kitchen Services Team, ensuring meals are prepared safely, efficiently, and in line with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in menu planning, maintaining compliance, and creating a positive and engaging food service environment that supports resident wellbeing.
The Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to residents' dietary, cultural and personal preferences
* Lead and support the Kitchen Services Team to ensure efficient daily operations
* Contribute to menu planning, recipe development and cost control
* Monitor food safety, hygiene and infection control practices in line with the Food Safety Program (FSP)
* Order supplies, manage stock levels and liaise with approved suppliers
* Ensure kitchen equipment, work areas and cleaning schedules meet compliance standards
* Maintain accurate documentation and support audit readiness
* Oversee meal presentation and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents
* Respond to feedback and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
