Head of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising

MND Victoria is seeking an experienced and purpose‐driven Head of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising to lead and integrate marketing, fundraising, engagement and communications strategies that secure and grow sustainable, diversified income and strengthen community trust.
This pivotal role protects and enhances MND Victoria's reputation and brand, builds long‐term stakeholder relationships, and helps ensure the organisation can continue to provide high‐quality, no‐cost services to people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), their families and carers.
About the role
As a member of the Executive Team and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will:
* Refine and lead delivery of the Community Engagement Strategy aligned to MND Victoria's strategic plan
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight of fundraising across appeals, campaigns, events, regular giving, major gifts, community fundraising, and corporate and philanthropic partnerships
* Drive a supporter‐centred culture that strengthens donor retention, lifetime value and long‐term revenue sustainability
* Provide executive oversight of communications, brand and reputation to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all channels
* Lead, mentor and support a high‐performing Community Engagement team with clear direction, accountability and coaching
* Partner with the CEO, Executive Team and State Council to manage risk, ensure compliance, and report on progress and performance
About you
You are a senior leader with:
* Tertiary qualification in fundraising, communications, marketing, business or a related field (or equivalent senior leadership experience)
* Senior leadership experience in fundraising, community engagement or a related field, ideally in a for‐purpose, health or community services environment
* Demonstrated success developing and delivering strategies across multiple income streams, supported by strong financial acumen and data‐informed decision‐making
* Strong people leadership capability, including experience leading managers, building capability and creating a culture of accountability and wellbeing
* Highly developed communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to build high‐value relationships with major donors, partners and funders
* A values‐led approach and commitment to respectful engagement with lived experience; experience in health/disability/progressive conditions is desirable
