We are seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team and play a key role in the creation of structural systems, connections, building elements, and construction techniques.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to expand your knowledge and skills in a dynamic environment. As a Structural Draftsperson, you will be responsible for interpreting sections from plans, integrating plans, elevations, and sections to determine where to cut sections and details.
Your drawings will help builders understand the design and carry out construction work with clarity and minimal requests for information.
Main Responsibilities:
* Effective Communication: Listen, collaborate, and communicate effectively with internal staff.
* Drafting Expertise: Undertake AutoCAD and/or Revit drafting.
* Meeting Participation: Attend and be involved in drafting meetings.
* Team Collaboration: Work in a team to complete the concept, detailed design, and documentation of structural projects.
* Liaison Role: Assist with liaising with architects and clients to achieve desired results.
* Project Management: Ability to work within project parameters.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Diploma in engineering drafting.
* Experience: 1-3 years drafting experience.
* Technical Skills: Strong AutoCAD experience.
* Knowledge and Understanding: Understanding of structures and structural systems.
* Construction Techniques: Knowledge of construction techniques and building components.
* Project Types: Experience in a broad range of project types.
* Detailing: Ability to produce details for timber, masonry, steel & concrete.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
