Local Organising Committee AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 Pty Ltd – Perth WA

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup. This marks Australia's second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia.

This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four. We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates women's football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly.

Marketing Execution (WA Focus)

* Deliver WA-focused promotional activities and campaigns to drive ticket sales and awareness.
* Activate key milestones locally with venues, partners and stakeholders.
* Implement match-week visibility, activations and local promotions.
* Support fan engagement through practical, on-the-ground marketing execution.


Key Events & Moments (Hands-On Delivery)

* Plan and activate WA-based promotions that drive awareness and sales conversion.
* Work with agencies on tactical campaigns, providing clear briefs and rapid feedback.
* Support national community & engagement teams with Perth milestones and content capture.
* Evaluate campaign performance to optimise sales outcomes.


Community, Business & Stakeholder Engagement (WA-Driven)

* Deliver local engagement plans targeting Perth communities, multicultural groups and clubs.
* Act as day-to-day lead for WA community initiatives and outreach.
* Roll out creative and promotional materials across WA to maximise conversion.
* Partner with Host City teams and national Marketing to activate WA programs and report on impact.


Brand Management Support (WA Implementation)

* Ensure consistent application of tournament branding across all WA activities.
* Support delivery of Perth-specific marketing events and communication pieces.
* Manage production and deployment of creative assets for WA activations.
* Maintain quality, consistency and brand alignment across all WA touchpoints.
* Deliver all WA marketing activity within approved budgets.
* Maintain accurate budget tracking and documentation.
* Support financial reporting for marketing activities.
* Ensure cost-effective execution of all WA initiatives.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams, Host City WA partners and stakeholders.
* Align all WA initiatives with national marketing and brand strategy.
* Contribute to a unified, sales-focused approach across all Perth programs.
* Support cross-functional coordination to ensure smooth delivery.


What Gets You in the Game?

* 5-7 years' experience in consumer and activation marketing with a strong background in community building, partnerships and promotional programs.
* Proven experience in implementing marketing and promotional campaigns that have delivered desired outcomes within defined budgets.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing and media landscape.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong levels of creativity with a passion for building and nurturing communities.
* Strong experience in budgeting, administration, and reporting.
* Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
* A passionate and highly driven team player with an ability to work collaboratively and autonomously.
* Ability to work with urgency in a fast paced, ever changing sporting environment, whilst maintaining highest quality of output.
* Strong attention to detail, high standards of integrity, ability to represent AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 interests.
