We are TRCB, a Perth-based architectural and interior design practice with over forty-five employees. We are a leading architectural practice in education, retail development, transport, sport, mixed-use development, and urban design. Our West Perth studio offers a friendly, social, welcoming, and inclusive working environment.
TRCB is currently seeking a Human Resources / Administration Manager to undertake a role that combines various Human Resources and Administration tasks for our busy design studio. The ideal applicant has a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with directors, clients, and colleagues, and is able to start immediately. The hours would be Monday to Friday, 10 am – 3 pm, or a similar arrangement, up to 0.8 FTE.
A key part of the role includes preparing for, organizing, and attending Board, Director, and Leadership meetings, taking minutes, and following up to ensure key outcomes are achieved. The successful applicant will possess highly developed organizational skills, the ability to work directly with senior leaders, and collaborate with the leadership team to achieve their objectives.
The role includes managing and leading the administration team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive people engagement and company culture initiatives as part of our strategic plan.
* Identify recommendations for HR process improvements and corporate initiatives for strategic planning and development.
* Coordinate Human Resources and Administrative activities to support company needs.
* Address employee inquiries, concerns, and challenges with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
* Manage recruitment processes, reviews, leave approvals, and exit procedures.
* Maintain up-to-date internal HR administration, communications, and information.
* Review and update company policies and practices to ensure they support the company's needs.
* Organize company-wide events, team-building activities, meetings, and functions.
* Engage in strategic planning and develop business plans aligned with the practice's objectives and needs.
* Prepare Board Papers in consultation with Directors and the Board Chair.
* Prepare fortnightly and monthly agendas and reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
* Take minutes and attend key meetings.
* Undertake general office management duties.
* Provide support to the Executive Assistant of two directors, two days per week.
* Facilitate advisory board planning, prepare papers, and record meeting minutes.
Essential skills and experience include:
* Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Relevant experience in a Human Resource and Administration Management position.
* Confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment.
* Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and deadlines.
* Capacity to manage confidential information.
* Strong people management skills.
