Details: ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) is seeking a dedicated and conscientious person to fill a permanent vacancy of Administration Assistant in the Offender Reintegration team.
The Administration Assistant will work closely with Offender Reintegration Executive Office to provide administrative and operational support to enable the work of the branch. They will co-ordinate a range of administrative and operational support activities across the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) and the community to support Offender Reintegration staff in their delivery of services to detainees.
The successful applicant will assist the Executive Officer with meeting organisation and secretariat responsibilities, including preparation of agendas, taking and transcribing minutes.
In addition, you will be responsible for preparing a range of correspondence including letters, briefings, and written reports, including drafting of correspondence and undertaking a range of records management activities using Content Manager, ensuring meeting minutes and other records are retained.
Further to this, you will support the Executive Officer to coordinate and respond to requests for information, including but not limited to subpoenas and freedom of information requests.
To be successful, you will have demonstrated administration skills, the ability to think and act in a busy environment, possess excellent customer service and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet multiple deadlines.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
* Eligible persons may be required to undergo a National Police Check.
* A current driver's licence (Class C) is essential.

* To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
* If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
Notes: An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
