Selection Criteria
* Proven ability to provide wellbeing services to students and the school community.
* Proven ability to lead, develop and implement programs, procedures and policies that address the social, emotional and educational needs of students at risk in the College.
* Ability to manage individual support including counselling and case management for students and their families, and to work with external agencies.
* Ability to develop and maintain networks to enhance provision of effective services for students at risk.
Role
The role is a professional student support position with managerial responsibilities, including coordination of wellbeing services and leadership of the Wellbeing Team. The role requires engaging with students, staff and external partners to deliver counselling, case management, training and program development, while ensuring compliance with school policy and professional standards.
Responsibilities
* Deliver counselling and wellbeing services to students.
* Assess student needs and offer a range of services within defined parameters.
* Provide welfare service advice independently within organisational parameters with professional support.
* Provide professional reports and assessments for use by other stakeholders.
* Maintain accountability for individual practice.
* Contribute to training and instruction for school colleagues.
* Explain professional concepts to students, stakeholders and staff.
* Facilitate individual or group programs for students.
* Apply sound theoretical knowledge and practical expertise.
* Collaborate with and contribute to the Wellbeing Team's initiatives and activities.
