Padua College is an independent Catholic Boys' Day School from Years 5-12 conducted by the Order of Franciscan Friars minor with an enrolment of over 1400 boys.

About the Role

The Librarian contributes to a vibrant hub of learning and discovery dedicated to nurturing the next generation of learners at the College by facilitating access to information and resources, and dynamic information services to support our learners from Years 5 to 12 within the College Library.

The Librarian leads and supports learning research, and exploration for learners through curated collections, aligning library initiatives/programs with the College's educational goals, implementation and management of databases and information services functions.

This is a full-time term time role, on a permanent contract, and is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Librarian, to join the College.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

* Assist in overseeing daily operations of the library, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
* Coordinate and promote library programs and events in collaboration with the Program Leader.
* Support the management and maintenance of the College's digital resources, including databases, e-books, and online journals.
* Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase library usage and community engagement.
* Support students in their research and information needs, providing reference and advisory services.

To be considered for this role, you should have:

* Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Information Studies, or Information and Library Science.
* Demonstrated ability to identify appropriate technologies and uses that support access to and delivery of library services and resources.
* Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
