The building was formerly a popular cinema, opened in 1911, reflecting its rich history throughout the guest experience.The hotel has 109 rooms across six floors and features event and meeting spaces, a Levantine restaurant, a street café, and a rooftop bar with views of the Sydney City Skyline. A new era begins at the 25hours Hotel The Olympia, shaping and transforming Paddington with a vibrant and diverse team to bring its vision to life.COME AS YOU ARE & SHOW US YOUR VISION …The Director of Operations, alongside our General Manager, oversees all aspects of hotel operations and supports department heads to ensure an exceptional guest, bar, and dining experience. We are seeking a candidate who:Director of OperationsThis is your daily contribution to turn our house into something special ...Innovate in food, retail, beverage, and culinary operations by creating dynamic pop-up ideas and collaborating with franchise partners to develop a new destination.Lead and motivate the team by embodying our design, training standards, brand concept, and SOPs for food, beverage, and culinary areas.Hire, mentor, and lead a diverse team with a 'come as you are' attitude, demonstrating passion, empathy, and optimism.Manage the P&L, understanding operational drivers and making continuous adjustments to ensure financial performance.Understand your business and set realistic expectations, ensuring guests and staff have soulful experiences and memorable moments.Foster innovative partnerships and collaborations with suppliers, local artists, and the community to activate ideas throughout the hotel.This is the second-in-command position, working closely with the general manager to create a vibrant team environment and execute plans effectively.QualificationsWe are looking for someone with personality and that certain something:Pre-opening experience is advantageous, especially with OS&E operations, design, construction, fit-out, and equipment testing.A strong F&B background in a lifestyle hotel or high-end restaurant chain, or similar experience, is preferred.Culinary professionals managing large operations in both kitchen and front of house are encouraged to apply.A passionate interest in food, beverage, and Sydney’s nightlife and concepts is essential.Additional InformationWhat’s in it for you…Join an innovative, fast-growing international group committed to building a global brand.Work in a creative and rewarding environment that challenges the norm.Be part of a passionate team dedicated to creating exceptional hospitality experiences and expanding our brand portfolio.Enjoy a competitive package and opportunities for professional development.You ready?
