We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Health and Wellness Advisor.
This is an on-site position where you will assist individuals with complex barriers to employment by conducting thorough assessments, providing counseling interventions, referring to external support services, and evaluating case progressions.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of candidates with various disabilities and barriers to employment;
* Offer counseling interventions as needed, using various psychological methodologies;
* Refer candidates to external support services to address barriers;
* Evaluate and monitor case progressions;
* Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates;
* Provide training and guidance to staff on psychological services and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in psychology with eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
* A relevant tertiary qualification in counseling or eligibility to gain membership with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA);
* Experience working within employment services highly regarded but not essential;
* Knowledge of psychology assessment and intervention strategies;
* Exceptional communication, rapport-building skills, and engagement;
* Proven ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports.
