We are a Civil Construction company located in Pakenham and are seeking to employ an experienced Civil Site Manager to join our well established team. Our projects include road and pavement construction, stormwater drainage, streetscape upgrades, utility installations, structural civil works and site remediation. We have multiple jobs on the go spanning Victoria.
About the role
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of our civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will also require estimating and submitting tenders when required.
This position requires strong leadership, practical and advanced civil construction knowledge and the ability to manage teams, subcontractors and site operations across complex projects.
Key responsibilities
* Manage overall site operations across civil construction projects
* Coordinate Site Supervisors, crews, subcontractors and plant operations
* Plan and sequence construction activities to meet project programs and milestones
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and contract requirements
* Maintain strong coordination with Project Managers, Engineers and stakeholders
* Oversee site safety, environmental controls and quality compliance
* Monitor productivity, program progress and resource allocation
* Maintain accurate reporting including site records, progress updates and issue management
* Liaise with council inspectors, representatives and other authorities when required
* Maintain a professional and well organised site culture across all crews
Skills and experience
* Proven experience as a Site Manager, Senior Site Supervisor or Civil Foreman in civil construction
* Strong understanding of civil infrastructure construction methodology
* Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors on active civil sites
* Ability to interpret civil drawings, specifications and construction programs
* Strong leadership and team management capability
* Excellent communication and coordination skills
* Strong understanding of WHS requirements in civil construction.
