The Opportunity
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team during an exciting period of transformation as we transition from Preceda to Workday. Please note that this is a part time position for 3 days a week.
In this role, you’ll work closely with a diverse employee base and report directly to the Payroll Manager at our Eveleigh office.
What you'll do:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including employee setup, changes, terminations, and fortnightly payroll runs (Preceda and Workday).
- Review and validate documentation, timesheets, and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports while maintaining accurate electronic records.
- Respond to payroll queries and provide excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including automation opportunities and adherence to company policies and WHS standards.
What you'll bring:
You’re proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative, thriving in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also have:
- Proven payroll experience, ideally within a medium to large organisation.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and strong Excel/data skills.
- Ability to reconcile superannuation payments and interpret awards/EBAs (desirable).
- Excellent time management, organisational skills, and clear communication.
- Collaborative team player with discretion in handling confidential information.
