Overview
Join the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) as a remote area GP in Port Hedland, WA. Permanent 0.8 FTE GP role (Mon‑Thu) based in Port Hedland. FIFO job‑share may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive routine and emergency general practice care to patients in remote communities and nursing posts.
* Deliver primary health services at RFDS GP clinics across the Pilbara.
* Support remote health initiatives, delivery of telehealth, and clinical education.
Qualifications & Experience
* FRACGP or FACRRM
* AHPRA Medical Registration – Specialist GP, unconditional
* Minimum 5‑year post‑graduate experience including general practice plus emergency medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology
* Interest in clinical education and telehealth
* Prior experience in indigenous health, remote community health care, and shared antenatal care desirable
* Completion of standard emergency courses such as ALS advantageous
Remuneration & Benefits
* Base salary up to $305,155 (full‑time equivalent)
* Salary packaging – up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expenses
* Partially subsidised housing, vehicle and utilities (or allowances)
* Professional development allowance
* 5 weeks annual leave (pro‑rata)
* 2 weeks study leave after a year (pro‑rata)
