Position Overview: My client is seeking an experienced and skilled Fitter to join their team, based in their Central Coast workshop. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with rotating equipment, possessing the technical expertise and practical skills necessary to maintain, repair, and service a variety of industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to determine the necessary repairs.
* Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble machinery with precision and care.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
* Collaborate with other team members and provide technical support as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Fitter, specifically working with rotating equipment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
