This is a Lead Project Engineer role with Brunel based in Perth, WA, AU Brunel Role Seniority - mid level More about the Lead Project Engineer role at Brunel About This Role On behalf of our client, a tier 1 mining company, we are recruiting for a Lead Project Engineer - NPI to support the delivery of non-process infrastructure across major study and execution phases. This role offers long-term project exposure, a high-performing team environment, and a transition from Perth-based work to site-based rostered duties in 2026 Lead end-to-end development of NPI scopes across early studies through to execution, ensuring clear definition and delivery of project requirements. Oversee design integrity, ensuring engineering outputs align with agreed scope, standards and project objectives. Review technical deliverables to confirm compliance with specifications, guidelines and quality expectations. Prepare tender and contract documentation, including technical inputs, scopes of work, specifications and schedules. Support Safety in Design activities, contributing to HAZID, HAZOP, constructability assessments and technical risk reviews. Monitor progress and key milestones across NPI workstreams, coordinating with other disciplines and project groups. Manage procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning outcomes to ensure safe, timely and quality delivery within assigned packages Requirements FULL AUSTRALIAN WORKING RIGHTS ARE A MINIMUM REQUIREMENT FOR THIS POSITION Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or relevant technical trade background. Extensive experience delivering projects within mining, heavy industrial or large-scale infrastructure environments Proven capability in project or package management on significant capital projects. Strong background across study and design phases-Concept, PFS/FEED and Detailed Design-plus hands-on experience supporting procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning activities. Experience in operations or maintenance is advantageous Exposure to non-process infrastructure such as maintenance facilities, accommodation villages, and water services is highly valued.
