About this role:
* The primary objective of this position is to effectively manage outage scheduling, ensuring the critical path of the project can be accurately identified, monitored, and reported.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing milestone, pre-outage, execution, and commissioning schedules to facilitate safe, reliable, and efficient return to operation of the facility and associated equipment.
Key accountabilities include:
* Developing an integrated precedence-based schedule that addresses the complexity of the outage
* Creating a work breakdown structure and schedule to manage the flow of work around the critical path
* Determining the critical path and adjusting the schedule to minimize the critical path time frame and level resources
* Flagging high-priority work in the schedule, including review of priorities and rescheduling as necessary
* Managing own work and contributing to the effective use of outage team resources
* Providing reports against the schedule for analysis of critical activities and close out of the outage
* Reviewing work orders and job plans for completeness prior to importing into the schedule
* Updating SAP to reflect any variation requirements in a timely manner
* Reacting to emergent work and updating the live schedule with work status and incorporating new work to confirm and monitor projected milestone dates
* Assisting with coordination of work being performed from schedule analysis
Requirements:
* Possess a trade qualification or engineering diploma with relevant practical experience
* Experience working with power generating plant maintenance and operations
* Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling tools (e.g. MIMS/Ellipse/SAP/Microsoft packages)
* Sound knowledge of maintenance procedures and quality assurance standards
* Highly motivated individual who is adaptable and enjoys working in a hands-on environment
* Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written interpersonal and communication skills
* Diplomatic and professional demeanor
* Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people, including corporate and site-based personnel, suppliers, technical specialists, and contractors
* Adaptability and motivation to support other areas of the business when required
* Assertive and respectful manner to ensure protocols and deadlines are met
* Ability to work autonomously and self-manage work priorities with minimal supervision
