Understanding how a merit list or pool may be used
Applicants who are suitable for the role but not offered the current vacancy may be placed on a merit list or pool. With the applicant's consent, the results may be shared with other Australian Public Service (APS) agencies to fill similar roles. Applicants may be offered future roles without reapplying. A merit list or pool can be used for up to 18 months.
This merit list or pool can be used to fill other vacancies across Australia.

About the Program Support Officer role
As a Program Support Officer at the Department of Education, you will work within a blended team of APS staff, contractors, and vendors to support the delivery of ICT services, artefacts, and advice for the Department.
Key duties include:
* Engaging with stakeholders to manage issues related to Digital Services
* Monitoring team mailboxes and responding to inquiries from stakeholders
* Reviewing, updating, and creating standard operating procedures and guidelines to improve business processes
* Procurement and vendor management activities
* Managing Office Systems and records using Microsoft Office, PDMS, and TRIM
* Communicating and liaising with staff at all levels within the Department and with external stakeholders
* Collaborating with internal teams such as Communications and Grants Policy
* Supporting engagement with program areas seeking Digital Services support
* Coordinating and supporting project delivery
Employment conditions
Employment is subject to conditions under the Public Service Act 1999, including:
* Citizenship: Employees must be Australian citizens unless the agency delegate has approved otherwise in writing.
* Security Clearance: This is a security assessed position. The successful candidate must obtain and maintain the required clearance.
