East Waikiki Primary School (PS) is seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our dynamic team. Situated in the coastal suburb of Cooloongup, our school is proudly part of the vibrant Rockingham community and serves families within the boundaries of Ennis Avenue, Grange Drive, Goongarrie Drive, Read Street, and Gnangara Drive. We are situated approximately 45km south of Perth.

Since opening in 1987 with just 185 students, East Waikiki has grown into a well-established school with a current enrolment of approximately 385 students. Our school boasts a stable and experienced staff who are committed to delivering high quality teaching and learning through whole school programs and evidence based practices.

The Role

As a member of our team, you will ideally be a conscientious, flexible and innovative teacher who is committed to the development of the whole student. You will ideally be actively involved both within the school and wider community, highly reflective of your teaching practices and committed to evidence-based decision making and differentiation.

Applicants should be motivated, possessing the ability to teach Health and Physical Education and will be knowledgeable of the Western Australian Curriculum. As a Health and Physical Education teacher you will ideally deliver a differentiated curriculum which meets the needs of all students and have an expectation that all students can reach their potential. You should be a teacher who aspires for academic excellence and is committed to high quality teaching and learning.

You will ideally possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school's values, ethos and priorities across the school community. You should build positive relationships with students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students.

* hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration .
* be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website .
* apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
* consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
