We are seeking a friendly, tech-savvy, and experienced Medical Receptionist for an immediate start! This is a casual position supporting our teams at Algester Medical Centre and our sister clinic in Acacia Ridge.We are looking for a professional who can balance high-quality patient care with efficient administrative and computer operations.
What You'll Be Doing
* Patient Coordination: Warmly greeting patients, managing the HotDoc appointment sidebar, and maintaining an organised flow in the Best Practice booking system.
* Digital Administration: Managing the practice email inbox, drafting professional correspondence in Microsoft Word, and handling electronic referrals via Medical Objects.
* Records & Data Entry: Accurately updating patient files, scanning specialist letters into electronic health records, and ensuring data integrity.
* Billing & Accounts: Processing Medicare, DVA, and private health claims (Bulked & Mixed Billing).
* Communication: Handling multi-line phone enquiries and providing clear, professional information about our services.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: Previous experience in a medical reception or healthcare administrative role is essential.
* Strong Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Outlook) is a must. You should be comfortable navigating folders, managing digital files, and typing with high accuracy.
* Software Knowledge: Familiarity with Best Practice (Bp Premier) and Medical Objects is highly regarded.
* Interpersonal Excellence: A warm, professional phone manner and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility: Ability to work across a 3-shift roster (7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, or 3pm-10pm).
