The Role
The accountant reports to the ANZ Finance Leader and is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial statements across multiple legal entities. Day-to-day duties include:
* Prepare, post, and monitor accruals for sales and cost transactions
* Lead the month-end close process, coordinating with AR/AP, prepayments, and fixed asset depreciation
* Post and reconcile General Ledger entries with appropriate supporting documentation
* Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations
* Reconcile Capital Expenditures, including inventory-related assets
* Assist in the preparation of year-end audit schedules and act as a liaison with external auditors
* Prepare and consolidate financial statements
* Support financial reporting processes for both regional and global consolidation
Your Skills & Experience
* CPA Qualification
* Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance
* Hands-on experience with accounting software
* Exposure working with complex ERP systems, Dynamics 365 highly desirable
