A full-time position is available for the right candidate to take on a leadership role as a medical practice manager for our group of four well established and busy medical practices located in the south side of Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be promoted further to greater responsibility and remuneration. We are seeking someone that can solve problems and make systems. As the group practice manager, the role will be based in our main practice and will require oversight of all four practices which include 12 general practitioners, 6 nurses and 10 administration staff. We are seeking a candidate who has a minimum of 2 years of management experience in general practice medical centres. Duties and Responsibilities: Operations Overseeing the day to day management of the practices. Staff management and rostering. Keeping up-to-date on Covid-19 (and other infections disease developments) and developing standard operating procedures to ensure the practices remain safe and compliant to meet public health and safety requirements. Medicare Billings & Practice Performance Managing medicare claims including following up on medicare and work cover payments. Promoting the practice through finding additional streams of revenue and controlling expenditure. Working with our in-house accountant and senior receptionists at each of the four clinics to develop quarterly performance reports tracking KPIs, financial and operational reviews. Human Resources Coordinating the hiring of new staff including interviews, and staff induction. Encouraging staff motivation and professional development. Ensuring a safe and inclusive work environment for staff and a safe and welcoming environment for our patients. On-boarding and assistance for newly recruited doctors. Working in tandem with recruiters to develop the group brand and marketing for the purposes of recruitment. Clinical Governance and Safety Ensuring clinical governance processes are in place, adhered to and monitored. Recording and reporting on any incidents in accordance with accreditation requirements. Exercising duty of care including meeting practice standards and accountability. Maintaining patient (and practice) confidentiality and dignity at all times. Practice Accreditation & IT Keeping up-to-date paper work for PIPs, WIPs and other incentives and grants. Lodging and managing provider number applications for general practitioners as needed. Applying for reaccreditation for all practices. Ensuring medical records are backed up and secured periodically, and practice software is kept up-to-date and running smoothly. Ensuring cybersecurity risk is minimised and data backups are kept up to date. This role requires a manager with strong organisation skills to bring clear and strong management systems into the group of practices to automate and streamline all management processes.
