Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team.
This role will involve providing strategic estimating leadership and client engagement primarily across High Voltage Transmission/Substations and Renewables or Building Services (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, MEP) projects.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across multiple projects and sectors, broadening their experience and impact while delivering estimating excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the end-to-end estimating process on a project, directing the production of Quantity Surveying/Estimating deliverables.
* Producing technical deliverables, applying industry experience autonomously with limited guidance.
* Managing and delivering work across projects simultaneously.
* Developing and implementing the Project Execution Plan, including verification and review of procedures.
* Identifying and mitigating potential financial risks through proactive planning.
* Forecasting and assessing costs, timelines, quality parameters, and constructability factors.
* Participating in value management and risk workshops as a subject matter expert.
* Working collaboratively with internal and external project teams, as well as technical leaders, to plan, develop, deliver, and operate a range of multidisciplinary projects.
* Recommending changes to current or new directions, ensuring the latest technical developments are applied.
* Mentoring and assisting in the development of junior QS/Estimators within your specialist discipline.
* During the bid phase of projects, being responsible for bid preparation and/or management, leading a bid team or contributing to a larger bid team.
Requirements:
Australian Citizenship is preferred; based in one of our major city offices (Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney or Perth).
Tertiary Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Project Management.
Experience in Quantity Surveying or First-Principles Estimating.
