ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the General Manager of Mining Australia, the Maintenance Manager and being a member of the Mining Australia Senior Leadership Team, is responsible for the development and implementation of Maintenance Strategies, Management systems and processes for mobile equipment and fixed plant assets to achieve plant availabilities and reliability at Geraldton Dry Processing Plant and Port Gregory (PG) Mine Site and Wet Processing Plant. This includes oversight of all maintenance activities, maintenance planning & scheduling, system administration and reporting, capital project works, and financial management related to maintenance whilst maintaining a focus on continuous improvement in line with leading practice and related legislation and standards.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing asset reliability to optimise the equipment maintenance strategy in the CMMS (currently MEX).
* Lead and develop a multidisciplinary maintenance team, fostering a strong focus on efficiency, safety and compliance culture.
* Oversee all maintenance activities, including planning, scheduling, shutdowns, and reliability engineering.
* Manage the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS – MEX) and ensure accurate data, reporting, and system integrity.
* Monitor equipment health and implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimization across maintenance operations.
* Manage maintenance budgets, repairs, and assigned CAPEX projects within approved frameworks.
* Ensure critical spares availability and compliance with ISO quality standards and statutory requirements.
ABOUT YOU:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Knowledge and expertise of scheduling practices, standards, systems and processes relevant to maintenance planning and execution
* Must be highly motivated with a proven record of safety, good work ethic and a team player
* Substantial knowledge and experience utilizing computer programs including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to Work effectively with team/work groups or those outside formal line of authority (i.e. peers, other departments)
* Good communication and engagement skills.
* Financial acumen.
