This role is part of the WA Environment business group, which focuses on impact assessment, approvals, terrestrial ecology, marine, and related services, with opportunities in renewable energy, critical minerals, and Defence at regional, national, and global scales.
Responsibilities
Interact with engineers and approvals specialists to provide innovative solutions to marine and aquatic ecological issues.
Analyse met-ocean/oceanographic and water quality data.
Undertake three-dimensional hydrodynamic modelling and two-dimensional spectral wave modelling.
Undertake numerical modelling for dredging, wastewater discharges and oil spills.
Support Maritime and Coastal teams in delivering coastal numerical modelling assessments.
Provide environmental advice to clients.
Contribute to the preparation of high-quality proposals and technical reports.
Collaborate with project team members to ensure a positive client experience in project delivery.
Participate in meetings with clients, regulators, and subcontractors.
What you will bring to the team
Bachelor degree qualifications in Environmental Engineering.
Experience with numerical modelling software (MIKE software suite preferred).
Experience with analysis of met-ocean/oceanographic and water quality data.
Efficient data management, mathematical and data analysis skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and writing skills, including experience in preparing reports for clients and/or regulators.
